Chelsea Ward is an artist, art teacher and author based in California.
In 2010 she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Studio Art and moved to Italy for two years. Upon returning to California, she created Sketchy Notions, a line of cheerful and colorful stationery and paper goods featuring her original illustrations and lettering.
During the fall, she hosts art retreats in Tuscany with her business Wanderful Retreats.
Chelsea has four published books with Quarto and Walter Foster Publishing: Modern Drawing (June 2018), Your Year of Art (November 2018), Modern Colored Pencil (November 2019) and Easy Drawing (October 2022).
She now lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband, son and their two cats (and lots of plants).
